About the conference

The Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana organizes the International Conference entitled “ICEBIT 2025: Building Intelligent Economies with Resilient Innovation and Smart Specialization Strategies”. This event will provide a platform for academics, researchers, industry practitioners, experts, and government representatives to explore the vital role of innovation and digital technologies in reshaping economic and business landscapes.

The conference aims to address current challenges and future economic and business development trends, through innovative solutions and the latest technological advancements.

The ICEBIT 2025 conference will serve as a platform for the exchange of insights among diverse stakeholders in the fields of economy, business and technology. Additionally, it will facilitate the integration of academic and scientific perspectives from researchers, thereby contributing to the advancement of digital and innovative solutions that can guide economic and business practices.

Furthermore, this conference aims to establish, in collaboration with local and international partners, a network of expertise that will foster ongoing collaboration in future academic and scientific endeavours in areas of mutual interest.

We invite students, educators, researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and policymakers to submit extended abstracts related to the conference themes, as well as broader topics in development economics, for the opportunity to present at the annual conference hosted by the Faculty of Economy at the University of Tirana, Albania.

All submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind peer-review process and will be published in the conference proceedings book. Selected full papers will be published in the Journal of the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana “The Albanian Journal of Economy and Business”, ISSN 2219-3200. The conference follows a policy of two papers maximum per author.

Conference format and language

The Organizing Committee anticipates an in-person conference, with online streaming of selected sessions or presentations. The conference language will be English.

Registration fee

Registration fee includes publication of paper in the conference proceedings, participation in all conference sessions for co/authors, refreshments during breaks and other organizational costs.

Besides the conference registration fee, there are no additional hidden conference and/or publication costs.

Participants from academic and scientific-research institutions, business sector, government sector, public administration, chambers of commerce and others - 50 Euro per author.
Students - 30 Euro per author.
